As I told you before on my article about "lintang" Wuku is the other way to determine people character and behaviour based on Balinese and Javanese belief beside Lintang. Wuku is a cycle of time lasting 30 weeks and there are 30 wuku. Each of the wuku, has one guardian. Each of the wuku 's name is based on a tragic love story from Prabu Wtugunung and his wife Dewi Sinta who have 27 children. Every year until thirteen years, Dewi Sinta gave birth thirteen twin son. Raden Wukir is twin with Raden Kulantir, Raden Tolu is twin with Raden Gumbreg, Raden Wariga is twin with Raden Warigadean, Raden Julungwangi is twin with Raden Sungsang, Raden Dungulan is twin with Raden Kuninganin, Raden Langkir is twin with Raden Medangsia, Raden Pujut is twin with Raden Pahang, Raden Krulut is twin with Raden Merakih, Raden Tambir is twin with Raden Medangkungan, Raden Matal is twin with Raden Uye, Raden Menail is twin with Raden Prangbakat, Raden Bala is twin with Raden Ugu, Raden Wayang is Twin with Raden Kulawu. The year 14th, She gave birth her last son who is not a twin. He is Raden Dukut. The second Wuku which is Landep is named based on the other Prabu Watugunung wife named Dewi Landep. This love story may make you feel sad and bad. The story just give us a lesson that unwise in deciding something in your life can put you in a very terrible condition.
