How to Pray as a Hindu in Bali (Part IV)

Next part is waiting for the tirta (holy water) from the priest. Once the priest sprinkle the tirta on your head, you can say this matra in your mind:


Om Ang Brahma amrta ya namah
Om Ung Visnu amrta ya namah
Om Mang Isvara amrta ya namah
 
The meaning:
Dear God as Lord Brahma
Dear God as Lord Visnu
Dear God as Lord Isvara
Please give me the holy water

Once you drink the tirta, you can say this mantra in your mind:
Om Om sarira ya namah
Om Om sadasiva ya namah
Om Om paramasiva ya namah
The meaning:
Dear God, as Siva, Sadasiva, Paramasiwa, bless my body and soul  with this holy water.


When you wash your face with tirta, you can say this mantra in your mind:

Om Om sarira purna ya namah
Ang Ung Mang gangga amrta ya namah
Sarira suddha parama teja ya namah
Om Ang sama sampurna ya namah
The meaning:
Dear God, make this body perfect, Oh God as the Gangga Amrta, grant ourselves purity, the most holy light, the most perfect.

The mantra when you put the bija on:
The middle of your forehead: Om shriyam bhavantu
The meaning
Dear God, hope happiness always surround us.

At the bottom of your throat:  Om sukham bhavantu
The meaning:
Dear God, hope happiness always come to me.

Swallowed without chewing: Om purnam bhavantu, Om ksama sampurna ya namah svaha
The meaning:
