Now I will tell you how to pray as a Hindu in Bali. The first, you have to prepare incense, flowers, kwangen and tirta. Then, put them in front of you except tirta. The tirta has to put on the altar. You also can do offering before you pray, it 's better. Afterward, you have to sit down nicely. Boy and girls has a different way to pray. The girl has to sit on her knees which the sole of the right feet must be on top. The boy has to sitting cross-legged. Then you have to say:
"Om Swastyastu"
Asana (sit down nicely and ready in position to pray)
Om prasada sthiti sarira siwa suci
nirmalaya namah swaha
the meaning:
God, who manifest as Siwa, I already sit down nicely, calmly and clean.
Pranayama
Om Ang Namah (Take a deep breath)
the meaning:
God, I pray to you as the creator of the universe and the source of all the power, please give me an inner strength
Om Ung Namah (Hold your breath)
the meaning:
God, I pray to you as the keeper and the source of life, please give me an inner peace.
Om Mang Namah (exhale your breath)
the meaning:
God, I pray to you as the destroyer of something that useless in this world for good, please give me an inner perfection.
Karasoddhana
Om suddha mam swaha (Put your right hand on your left hand while put both of your thumbs together)
the meaning:
God, please clean my right hand.
Om suddha mam swaha (Put your left hand on your left hand while put both of your thumbs together)
the meaning:
God, please clean my left hand.
Om waktra suddhaya namah
the meaning:
God, please purify my mouth.
Om ang dupa dipastra ya nama swaha (while holding the incense)
the meaning:
God, as a Brahma, please make the light of the incense brighter like your light that will purify me.
Om puspa danta ya namah swaha (while holding the flower and kwangen)
the meaning:
God, I hope this flower sanctified.
